MetroLINK is seeking an IT Technician. Under the direction of the Systems Administrator, this individual will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware or software.
- Serves as first point of contact for administrative staff seeking technical assistance for issues related to computer systems, software and hardware. Responds to inquiries either over the phone or in person.
- Performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, help desk ticket resolution and escalates to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Responsible for documentation of trouble tickets and resolutions within the help desk management system.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of computer users; ensure each workstation has necessary equipment.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, software licenses and catalog warranty information; maintain up to date asset management records in inventory system
- Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as directed.
This is a full-time position with a full benefit package to include health, dental and life insurance, IMRF pension, 457 retirement plan, sick, vacation and holiday pay, onsite fitness center, and free transportation on our Metro system. Starting salary range is $46,888 - $60,955 and will commensurate with experience.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, and one (1) to three (3) years of experience OR any equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
