Job Summary
Quad Packaging is seeking a Gallus Label Master Flexo Press Operator for our Spartanburg, SC location who can work a second or third-shift schedule.
The ideal candidate will be able to prepare for operation, operate the flexographic press, perform troubleshooting and maintenance, perform quality checks, and perform line clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for Operation: Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press to produce labels and other products to customer specifications.
- Operate Flexographic Press: Operate assigned equipment within Company safety standards and department SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications.
- Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
- Perform Quality Checks: Complete quality checklist(s) and other required documentation. Perform visual quality checks of the product throughout the printing process to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform Line Clearance: Clean assigned area by removing all products from the line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the setup and operation of a Gallus Label Master flexographic printing press is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and skills to perform troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems for root causes and determine solutions.
- Ability to organize one's schedule and tasks for efficient workflow and production.
Working Conditions:
- Requires work with moving mechanical parts.
- Requires work in a noisy, fast-paced environment where forklifts and other machinery are used.
- Requires work at risk of electrical shock.
