Job Overview:
Quad is seeking a skilled Digital Printing Technician to join our team at the Quad Instore facility in West Allis.
About the Role:
- As a Digital Printing Technician, you will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting multiple digital presses, including HP Turbojet, EFI/Vutek, and Inca Onset devices.
- You will accurately interpret and communicate diagnostic feedback from equipment to resolve production, maintenance, and repair issues.
- You will perform color matching of supplied materials and read and understand job tickets, completing necessary paperwork.
- You will demonstrate technical vocabulary and effective communication skills with electronic prepress, press operators, customer service, vendors, equipment technicians, and customers.
- You will maintain a clean and organized work area.
Key Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Candidates must be able to differentiate between colors and pass a color test.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens quickly and efficiently.
- Experience with computer software applications in a prepress environment, particularly digital color control and operating HP, Vutek, or Inca Onset presses is preferred.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, reliable, quality and safety oriented individual who can lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
