What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDI Account Manager position at Quadax?
Position Overview: The Account Manager will act as a conduit between clients, who bill medical insurance claims electronically, and Quadax. The Account Manager is the face of Quadax and interacts with both clients (hospitals and physician practices) and Quadax personnel alike. The Account Manager will have a team of Account Representatives assigned to them. They will be the first-line supervisor for their assigned Account Representatives. Requires 50%-75% travel to clients within NY, PA, and surrounding states.
Responsibilities:
- Guide Account Representatives in handling issues that impact their clients.
- Monitor and respond to Help Desk events.
- Assist in research and problem solving and suggest courses of action.
- Assist with interviewing and hiring process of new Account Representative Candidates.
- Conduct a weekly call with service representatives to discuss any questions/changes that may have occurred in the past week.
- Conduct annual reviews.
- Develop Account Representatives – manage and motivate assigned staff.
- Provide leadership by emphasizing importance of attitude and appearance with clients.
- Teach by example how to balance being a client advocate versus defending Quadax business principles and values.
- Deal with day-to-day issues in a timely manner – be sure critical issues get first priority.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Knowledge of medical billing, both technical and professional is required as well as in depth knowledge of personal computer applications i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL and various operating systems
- Strong computer knowledge
- Demonstrated customer support experience
- Good investigative and software troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to multitask and be a self-starter
- Maintain professional relationship with multiple clients while being personable, to establish better lines of communication
- “Jack of all trades” – must be able to learn essential functions of the many different departments and teams that stand behind the Quadax product offerings
- Sufficient public speaking abilities to conduct group training sessions
- Must be willing to travel 50%-75% via automobile with overnight stays in PA and NY (primarily).
- Must report to Quadax corporate office quarterly for 2-3 days for quarterly meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
