MUST
Experienced DBA/Database Developer
Must possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
Minimum 2-5 experience in Database Administration
Must have experience as a DBA in both Oracle and Postgres RDS, plus DB conversion work between the two
Experience with both Oracle and Postgres RDS
Experience with cloud-based databases (preferably AWS RDS)
Experience with database automation and scripting
Experience in database design and modelling (E-R diagrams, Data normalization)
Experience in SQL and query optimization (Query tuning, Indexing etc)
Experience in Database security (authentication/authorization, encryption, access control etc)
Experience in Backup/Recovery, Performance monitoring
Experience in Data migration and integration (ETL, Data Warehousing)
4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
DUTIES
Design and implement database systems that meet the needs of the client
Maintain the security and integrity of the database and its users
Monitor the performance of the database and troubleshoot issues
Create and maintain documentation for the database, including data policies, procedures, and standards
Optimize the database for efficiency, including modifying the design to avoid performance bottlenecks
Work closely with project managers to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
Possess considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot problems
Must be able to work independently with little to no daily supervision, is a team player, open to ideas and learning.
Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support clients.
