Automation Engineer / DevOps Engineer / System Integration Engineer

Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation workflows, scripting, system diagnostics, and supporting customer onboarding processes. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth deployment, testing, and migration of systems, while also contributing to process improvements and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Workflows: Develop, maintain, and optimize automated workflows to streamline operations and increase productivity across the organization.
• Scripting: Write scripts (using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) to automate various tasks such as system configurations, migrations, and integrations.
• Customer Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new customers by automating the process of provisioning environments, deploying configurations, and ensuring that customers can start using the system quickly and efficiently.
• Migration Scripts: Develop and maintain scripts for system and data migration to new environments for customers.
• Testing & Validation: Perform testing on system configurations, scripts, and workflows to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards. Work on test automation as required.
• Image Certification: Work with Windows or Linux image certification processes for ensuring system integrity and compatibility.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across systems, identify root causes, and develop solutions or workarounds.
• Support Ability: Provide support for system-related issues, assist customers with technical queries, and ensure systems are running smoothly.
• Version Control (GitHub): Maintain and manage code in version control systems like GitHub, collaborate on code reviews, and integrate changes across environments.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including workflows, scripts, and system configurations to ensure all processes are well-documented and auditable.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, or others.
  • Experience with system automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub, and version control.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and deployment strategies.
  • Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux systems, including Windows image certification.
  • Experience in migration and integration tasks for customers.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins).
  • Strong experience with system diagnostics and troubleshooting methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
• Prior experience with cloud-native tools or technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
