Building Engineer - ChiefWashington, DCPay From : $50 per hourMUST : Experienced Chief Building EngineerMust have 3 plus years of experience as a Building EngineerMust have 1 plus year experience of managing over engineer staffMust have an active DC Steam Fitter licenseMust understand and comply with DC CCRC regulationsExperience working in a Healthcare industry is a plusFirst- Class Chief Engineer licensure is highly preferredDUTIES : Building Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following : Operates and monitors the boiler room and HVAC equipment per manufacturers' specifications so as to minimize down time, avoid inconvenience to in-house customers and extend the life expectancy of the equipmentReads meters and gages to verify operation conditionsAdjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls as requiredMaintains equipment room log booksMakes rounds to equipment rooms daily to ensure proper functioning equipmentVisually inspects equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubricationMaintains, troubleshoots and repairs equipment and components to ensure continuous equipment operationRepairs equipment by interpreting schematics or equipment manuals to successful completionCreates parts orders with all necessary ordering information to successfully repair facility equipmentOther Duties as requiredQuadrant is an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer.
