Summary of Position:
The Functional Lead, BTS will play a pivotal role in aligning technology solutions with the strategic initiatives of their assigned business units with focus primarily on the Finance department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Functional Solutions, this individual will be a key member of the BTS Finance and Supply Chain team. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate and collaborate with business units and Digital Information Technology leadership to drive innovation and efficiency. Part of a lean team tasked with delivering outstanding digital experiences for new and existing technology through functional partnership, translating business challenges into actionable digital or process solutions, leading efforts in development of platforms and applications, project management excellence and deep business analysis. Key to success in this role is prioritizing user experience, anticipating longer-term needs and a blend of project management and business analysis capability.
What will you do?
- Partner with assigned business unit leadership, understand business needs, and implement technology solutions aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Perform consistent and deliberate stakeholder management, change management and communication including executive presentations, status reporting, training and creative project engagement activities.
- Work with internal partners to understand requirements, implement, test, deploy and support technology solutions, while keeping scalability and supportability in mind.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system efficiency, and enhance user experience through continuous evaluation and optimization.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, identifying gaps between needs and current capabilities/capacity and work to find innovative solutions to close those gaps.
- DIT point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report creation and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- Own the end-to-end product management process for assigned business applications and ERP enabled processes (JD Edwards) ensuring alignment between the technical platform, business strategy, and end-user needs.
- Contribute to the development of a cohesive and aligned strategic roadmap from a variety of disparate sources (demand, ideas, business strategy, DIT strategy).
- Ownership of project outcomes and successful adoption to assigned business unit
- Lead multiple concurrent DIT projects with Finance and Supply Chain and manage scope, quality, budget and schedule and effective risk management to meet or exceed objectives.
- Functional Consultancy & Requirements Management - Gather business requirements for DIT solutions including business cases, ROI analysis, and functional specifications.
- Solution Architecture, design, build, and functional test - Guide the development and delivery of the best-in-class technology solutions.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
- Collaborate with architecture, Technical Solutions and Infrastructure & Operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with standards, strategy and service model.
- Support business counterparts on ongoing business processes including issue triage and coordination of the resolution around the core ERP and satellite applications
- Manage the transition of new solutions to support through development of knowledge base articles for Tier 1 support and providing Tier 2 and 3 support as appropriate.
Education, Experience and Training:
- A bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience:
- 7 years experience in Financial systems, including implementation and operational support in a large, multi-faceted organization.
- 7 years experience of JD Edwards ERP Financial applications, business processes, and reporting.
- Subject matter expertise and substantial experience in system and process supporting Financial systems. Exposure to Supply Chain process and systems secondary but desirable
- Conceptual expertise in implementing secure and sustainable architecture and processes
- Strategic and creative thinking/problem solving which creates enterprise value
- Supplier Service Management and Organizational Change Management

- Strong strategic planning and project delivery skills.
- Ability to communicate, challenge and influence effectively in group settings
