About the job
We are embarking on an HR systems transformation at Quaker Houghton. The Global HRIS Senior Analyst will lead functional and technical HRIS support for our Global HRIS team and Global HR department. The Global HRIS Senior Analyst will lead workstreams responsible for planning, designing and testing new global HR Technology and lead projects to enhance existing systems. The Global HRIS Senior Analyst will lead work to implement continuous process improvements across the HR function. The Global HRIS Senior Analyst will partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements and recommend effective solutions to meet business needs while delivering excellent customer service. Together with HR colleagues across the department, the Global HRIS Senior Analyst will lead projects aimed at improving data management, reporting, workflows and processes to transform how we work and enhance the value HR delivers.
The Global HRIS Senior Analyst manages data and is responsible for maintaining HR systems, implementing process improvements, ensuring data quality and reporting on data in the HR Systems. The Global Senior HRIS Analyst is the subject matter expert and key point of contact for the HR Systems in our portfolio.
The Global HRIS team is a connection point between the Global HR and Global IT departments and consults with stakeholders across the business to understand business requirements and translates those into HR solutions. This team supports systems and processes throughout the employee lifecycle for our employee populations in over 30 countries.
What will you do?
- Ensure that configuration of HR system settings, workflows, integrations and options meet functional business objectives
- Review current HR system functionality for possible improvements, troubleshoot issues, test new features, perform application upgrades
- Apply continuous process improvement practices, proactively research and keep current on system functionality and features that could meet business requirements
- Propose enhancements and present business cases to gain support for change
- Implement processes and audit procedures to enable ongoing data audits and oversee quality checks to maintain data integrity and consistency across HR systems
- Develop efficient standard operating procedures for regularly occurring processes, maintain materials to enable end users and ensure processes align with compliance requirements
- Partner with internal departments on systems integrations and serve as HR liaison to support integration initiatives
- In partnership with HR CoEs, optimize HR processes and build scalable, automated workflows leveraging HR technology and tools
- Administer and maintain security and permissions for HR systems, vet and process requests in accordance with compliance requirements
- Assist systems users and provide ongoing support and service to end users
- Manage reporting dashboards and perform ongoing assessments of reporting requirements to build scalable reporting solutions which support ongoing analysis and influence decision-making
- Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests as needed
- Design processes that will enable self-service and automate repeat requests
- Support HR Operations projects and initiatives, as required
- Proactively conducts system testing including user acceptance testing (UAT) for new HR system releases, features and functionality
- Lead and support HRIS projects, including new module implementations, system upgrades and process redesigns.
What do we look for?
- Bachelors degree is required, HR certification is a plus
- 7 years experience in HR/People Systems Analyst or Administrator role is required
- 2 years prior experience with Workday HCM and a solid understanding of Compensation is required. Experience with Time and Absence modules is preferred.
- Experience with report development, automation configuration, data dashboard design and deployment experience is preferred
- Experience in interpreting business and technical needs and translating it into a systems driven solution is a must
- Hands on experience and knowledge of Workday HCM security access and business process design is required
- Workday HCM configuration and troubleshooting experience within multiple fields is preferred (HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Time tracking and Absence modules)
- Experience designing, testing, deploying and supporting Workday functionality in a matrixed environment is required
- Understands Workday reporting functionality and capable of designing various types of Workday reports and calculated fields
- Working experience and understanding of employment law requirements, regulations and data privacy requirements including GDPR within a global environment
- Experience with global government reporting requirements
- Preferred Workday Certifications: Workday HCM, Workday Reporting and Workday Integrations
- Full professional fluency in English is required (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated proficiency in the full MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills in Excel is required, PowerBI and/or other data visualization tool is preferred
- Project Management experience leading projects and change across the business
