Job Summary
The Quality/Maintenance Specialist supervises day to day operations of the Dayton Facility as it pertains to facility maintenance and repairs.
What will you do:
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, fire alarm and other building systems.
- Directs contractors on site, ensuring work is being done safely and efficiently in accordance with our EHS policies and procedures
- Assists Facilities Manager in the development of the annual budget as it relates to annual maintenance items and capital expenditures.
- Orders necessary supplies and parts within budgetary guidelines
- Monitors and evaluates equipment and spare parts inventories.
- Monitors and enforces all plant safety policies and participates in management meetings, management review meetings and improvement teams.
Job Accountabilities:
- Report any building deficiencies to Facility Manager.
- Manage tool cage (crib).
- Perform related duties as required and assigned.
- Repair equipment in plant, office, lab and warehouse.
- Repair/replace pumps and piping in plant.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 10 years of plant maintenance or general building trades
- General knowledge and training in all building trades (i.e., plumbing, carpentry, pipefitting, welding, electrical, etc.)
