Summary of Position:
Under supervision of the Senior manager or in assistance to a level Chemist II or III, execute investigations of raw materials in order to select new or alternative raw materials that lead to more cost-effective formulations and/or to new innovative product concepts. Work with Global category manager to implement new raw material approvals.
What will you do?
- Collaborating with local Chemist II and wider team in support of Raw material selection and approval
- Co ordinate the testing and approval of new raw materials in order to reduce cost and/or to introduce advanced/innovative technology.
- Manage relevant Raw material approvals by co ordinating with relevant Technology personal and other stakeholders through the Raw Material Introduction Process (RMIP). Compare alternative to established specifications and quality for approval by wider technology team.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders by providing regular updates on progress.
- Support the work of Global Raw Materials team delivering both local and global projects.
- Work with global raw material led to ensure materials meet approval criteria.
Education, Experience and Training:
- This position requires at least a bachelors degree in a scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry.
