Production Planner

Associate will be part of a team that is responsible for managing the planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking of raw materials to a completed finish good.  The associate will expedite the flow of materials between departments of a facility according to the production schedule. Determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports to communicate regularly to the customer on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. Analyze the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.

Pay: $55,000-$60,000

Full time, in-office, no relocation available

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform duties using internal warehouse management system and customer’s SAP.
• Reviews and distributes production and shipment schedules; conferring with Shipping & Receiving, Production and Supply Chain Managers
• Ensures raw materials are available to meet production requirements
• Reviews inputs to determine production schedules and ship dates
• Communicate via phone or email to provide regular updates on production schedule and ship dates.
• Requisitions and maintains inventory of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
• Supports front office activities to achieve KPI’s and metrics associated with warehouse activities (i.e., ordering, receiving, inventorying, shipping materials, etc.).
• Works with supply chain planners to forecast demand and create supply plans to generate raw materials.
• Enters, tracks and monitors customer requirements/inquiries using various job processes and systems to support our customers. Identifies and responds to customer supply chain management issues of routine scope and complexity using established processes, policies and practices for guidance to understand and meet customer needs.
• Processes and tracks supply chain management data from multiple sources, prepares data and inputs into tools and models in order to maintain supply chain effectiveness and efficiency.
• Processes and tracks supply chain requirements with internal/external suppliers in order to support demands and ensure best value (e.g., schedule, quality, price, cycle time) for Boeing and the customer.

Education:

• Bachelors’ degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

Work Experience and/or Skills:

• Related experience and/or training a plus
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and adapt to ERP systems.
• Bilingual is a plus
