Job Description
As a Histotechnician with QualDerm Partners, you will be responsible for performing duties related to the preparation of tissue specimens for routine and special procedures. This includes receiving and processing specimens, preparing histologic slides, and maintaining quality assurance records.
Your responsibilities will also include verifying slide and block matches, compiling cases, and ensuring stat cases are seen by the pathologist in a timely manner. Additionally, you will operate computerized laboratory equipment, prepare slides, and examine them under a microscope to ensure tissue preparation meets laboratory requirements.
You will also be responsible for managing unexpected lab situations, such as instrument problems or detecting health issues that may cause unusual test results. Furthermore, you will perform histochemistry and immunohistochemistry studies as requested by the pathologist.
