Position: Fitter/Fabricator
Location/s: Ashland, VA
Duration: 3 months contract to hire
Shift: 1st Shift Schedule (offering work-life balance with Saturdays as needed)
Pay Rate: Up to $25.00/Hour (Depending on experience)
Qualdoc is seeking experienced Flux Core Welders and Welder/Fitters for our client in Ashland, VA. This role will be responsible for welding heavy industrial structural steel equipment and components using shop drawings for fabrication. This position is a contract with the potential to go full-time based on performance and business needs.
Overtime!!!! 50-56 hours weekly!!
\n- Experience in Flux Core Arc welding
- Able to pass a Full Penetration Vertical Weld test
- Able to pass a Fillet Overhead weld test
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
- Able to read shop drawings
- Able to read AWS weld symbols
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Have your own welding and safety equipment (welding helmet, gloves, and steel toes)
- Monday - Friday with some Saturdays as required
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (10 hours a day)
- One year after hire, PTO of 16 days (accrued throughout the year)
