Job Title: Lead Mechanic (Machine Assembly or Sheet Metal)
Location: Louisa, VA
Duration: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: Up to $26/hour (based on experience and role)

\n- Assembly Leadership: Oversee the assembly of machines and mechanical components following detailed specifications and instructions.
- Tool Proficiency: Train and guide team members in the proper use of hand and power tools for assembly, maintenance, and repairs.
- Blueprint Expertise: Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accuracy.
- Quality Oversight: Conduct inspections of assembled parts to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex assembly challenges, offering guidance and solutions to the team.
- Press Brake Operations: Supervise the use of press brakes to bend materials, including pipes up to 3/4", with precision.
- Plate Rolling Expertise: Manage the rolling of plates up to 3/8" thickness while ensuring precision and quality.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints to select appropriate tooling and procedures for bending and shaping materials.
- Tool Selection: Lead the identification and use of proper tooling for various materials to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Setup & Calibration: Oversee the setup and precise calibration of back gauges for reliable bending operations.
- Proven experience in machine assembly or sheet metal work.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Expertise with relevant tools (e.g., hand/power tools for assembly; press brakes/plate rollers for sheet metal).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within your field.
- Ability to work with heavy materials and manage large-scale projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a talent for mentoring and team-building.
