Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Dispatch Department to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations
- Coordinate and deploy field crews for scheduled and emergency response services
- Oversee permit acquisition for oversized/overweight transportation needs
- Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement through KPIs
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
- Act as a strategic partner across departments to meet customer and operational needs
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and regular feedback to dispatch specialists
- Maintain 24/7 operations and provide emergency on-call support as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent work experience (5–7 years)
- Strong understanding of transportation and dispatch regulations (DOT, FMSCA, FRA, etc.)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and crisis management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365
- Prior experience in complex field-based or emergency operations dispatch preferred
- Must be able to pass required safety and training certifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be available for emergency callouts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work extended hours and respond to emergency needs
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and walking as part of office duties
