Duration: Full Time, Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $20 – $30/hr. (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:
Qualdoc is looking for a skilled Wire EDM Machinist to join our team. This role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Wire EDM machines to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and hands-on Wire EDM experience.
\n- Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines to manufacture precision parts.
- Safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
- Recognize and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to execute work instructions.
- Determine and use the correct tools for each job.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery.
- Follow job travelers and document work progress.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of Wire EDM processes, setup, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- 3–5 years of Wire EDM machining experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Must have basic machinist tools.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to move products using an overhead crane.
- Good vision is required, including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
- Some computer use is required for documentation and job tracking.
- Moderate to high noise levels due to machine operations.
- Shop environment with safety protocols in place.
