What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter position at Qualico Steel Company, INC?
Summary:
This position will be responsible for performing duties of a steel fitter and will require knowledge to tacking detail pieces to the main structural steel.
Responsibilities:
- Structural fitters are required to assemble structural form according to blueprints.
- The ability to bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to.
- Clean and prepare detail for fitting.
- Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints.
- Work closely with fabricators and laborers to improve skills and knowledge.
- Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to life, push and pull up to 70 pounds.
- Must be physically capable of bending/twisting as well as standing for long periods of time.
- Must be willing to able to climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Must be able to work in tight spaces.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Must be punctual and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen.
