Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Lead to drive significant revenue growth by building and managing a robust sales pipeline, creating compelling content, and strategically evaluating customer segments. This is a critical role that will directly impact our company's success, requiring a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a proven track record in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key member of the leadership team and will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies to generate qualified leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
    • Proactively identify and qualify potential customers through various channels, including networking, cold outreach, and inbound marketing.
    • Manage and track the sales pipeline using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho), ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
    • Continuously analyze pipeline performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Content Creation and Follow-Up:
    • Create compelling and targeted content (e.g., presentations, white papers, case studies, email sequences) to support sales efforts and nurture leads.
    • Develop and execute effective follow-up strategies to engage prospects and move them through the sales cycle.
    • Tailor communication to specific customer segments and their unique needs.
    • Maintain a library of up-to-date sales collateral.
  • Strategic Planning and Customer Segment Evaluation:
    • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify key customer segments and their specific pain points.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate target markets and achieve revenue goals.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of different sales and marketing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to define and refine the overall business development strategy.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a strong sales pipeline and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Experience creating compelling content for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset.
