Position : Bakery Mixer – Manufacturing Specialist
Location : Richmond, VA
Compensation : $15.00 / hour
Schedule : Monday – Saturday, 4 : 00am – 12 : 30pm
5 day / week schedule – occasional overtime required based on production needs)
SUMMARY :
The Bakery Mixer is a full-time position that performs a variety of duties associated with mixing and matching ingredients in a timely manner according to guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Learn all cake, pie, roll, or icing mixes
- Produce quality mixes in a timely manner
- Maintain all sanitation and SQF policies with thorough daily cleaning of area
- Fulfill all paperwork and Just Foods responsibilities in a timely manner
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS :
Follow recipes accurately and efficiently to produce quality food products while adhering to food safety guidelines.Operate mixing equipment, scales, and meters, ensuring proper handling of ingredients and compliance with safety protocols.Monitor dough / mixture temperatures, manage production schedules, and ensure timely and efficient mixing to maintain workflow.Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform setups, breakdowns, and ingredient replenishment as needed.Comply with food safety standards, including documenting records, inspecting products, and following SQF, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.Report food safety issues and potential risks to supervisors, assist in maintaining food safety systems, and be open to learning new procedures.Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to work flexible schedules as needed for production and / or holidaysAbility to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
HS Diploma, GED or equivalentWORK ENVIROMENT :
