Schedule : Monday - Thursday, 6 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm (Overtime as needed)
Are you looking for a hands-on role in material handling and general maintenance? We’re hiring a Material Handler for a full-time, temp-to-hire position in the Blue Water Area. This position involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within the plant, yard, or worksite using lift trucks, hoists, or by hand. Key Responsibilities :
Load, unload, and move materials using lift trucks, hoists, or manually.Review paperwork for incoming raw materials and ensure accurate deliveries.Operate band saws and other machinery to prepare materials for production.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, assisting machine operators as needed.Manage scrap materials by sorting, weighing, and properly disposing of them.Perform basic repairs and maintenance using hand tools.Assist with general plant maintenance, including floor cleaning, light fixture maintenance, and exterior grounds upkeep.Support the shipping department with packaging, assembling containers, and loading / unloading trucks.Maintain inventory of essential plant supplies like oils, gloves, and cleaning materials.What We’re Looking For :
High school diploma or GED required.6 months to 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.Ability to read work orders and follow verbal instructions accurately.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make simple adjustments or repairs.Physically capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, kneeling, climbing, and working in varied environments.Comfortable working in a loud manufacturing setting with exposure to weather changes and moving machinery.Why Work for Qualified Staffing?
