Qualified Staffing is seeking candidates for Medical Billers in the Raleigh, Cary and Durham areas. These are Full-Time, IN OFFICE positions. Temp-Perm opportunities, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.
The Medical Biller will be responsible for handling insurance claims, patient billing, and revenue cycle management to ensure accurate and timely payments. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance guidelines, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for reimbursement.
Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure proper billing procedures.
Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals with insurance companies.
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
Generate and send statements to patients for outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate records of billing activities and patient interactions.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
Familiarity with insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
