Have you dealt with insurance returns and refunds? Do you have experience in Medical Billing, specifically in claims, denials, and appeals? Our client, a national medical supply company in Glen Allen, is now hiring Medical Claims Returns Associates!
Position : Medical Claims Returns Associate
Location : Glen Allen, VA
Compensation : $18-19 / HR – Based on experience
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm
POSITION SUMMARY :
Handles all product returns from customers. Ensure that refunds are properly processed to insurance companies as needed. Communicates effectively with key decision makers within the company. Undertakes all work in accordance with law, regulation, payer requirements, and company requirements and policies.
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS :
- Review Returns Manager daily to identify and process all approved returns.
- Accurately and expediently submits refunds to payers (electronically / paper) successfully according to a schedule, in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Monitor refunds to ensure they are properly retracted by the payer. If not retracted, the associate must contact the payer for a resolution.
- Identify discrepancies and effectively work toward their resolution or communicate to other personnel for resolution as is appropriate.
- Maintains an appropriate level of communication and confidentiality
- Performs all other duties as assigned, which may vary at any time with or without notice.

High School Diploma and / or GED requiredAssociate’s degree in general studies, accounting, finance or similar course of studyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency in Claims Management systemsExperience with insurance billing and / or collectionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours a day, while working at a computer stationProficiency in using a keyboard, mouse, and other computer peripherals for data entry and communication purposesAbility to view a computer screen for prolonged periods, with good visual acuity to read small print and accurately enter dataAdequate hearing ability, with or without correction, to understand and respond to customer inquiries via telephone or other audio equipmentRegular use of the hands, wrists, and fingers to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouseWHY WORK FOR QUALIFIED STAFFING?
