TOOL & DIE MAKER JOB PURPOSE : To perform any necessary machining operations to design, build, fabricate, or repair jigs, fixtures, machine components, complex tooling and dies. PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS :
- Frequent walking, occasional sitting and standing
- Normal vision and hearing
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent handling and fingering
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
- Occasional pushing and pulling
- Ability to write, read, and distinguish numbers, symbols, and dimensions from diagrams, blueprints, or charts
- Ability to count and perform simple mathematical operations
- Must be able to understand decimal and fractional amounts
- Must be able to read and understand precision measuring instruments
- Considerable judgment required
