Production Support - Entry Level $16 / hour
NIGHT SHIFT 6pm - 6am - 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on 2 nights off, 2 nights on, 3 nights off (2-week increments)
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door in a manufacturing position.
Assists with various tasks both pre-production and post-production.
General Tasks :
Reads work orders to determine requirements.
Stages work area and prepares boxes.
Perform various tasks post-production to complete process for shipping, i.e., dedusting of material, specialty bagging or boxing of material or any other additional task needed to complete an order.
Safely operate a forklift and move material around the plant without damaging material or containers.
Assist shift workers on the floor when able.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control, machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance and learn the company's Safety Policies and Procedures manual.
Skill Requirements
Ability to read and / or verbally understand and follow directions, read and write in English, safely operate a forklift and other job-related equipment / machinery and work independently or with a team with minimal supervision.
Manufacturing background
Physical Requirements
Dexterity strength to grab, manipulate or assemble objects.
Strength to lift, push, or pull up to 55lbs.
Use of abdominal and lower back muscles continuously over time without fatigue.
Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms, and / or legs.
