Quality Assurance Supervisor
Manage day-to-day activities of QC, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, AS9100, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within the quality system, collaborating with interdepartmental groups, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service.
- Create inspection plans, establish inspection protocols, and develop Work Instructions, Procedures, Forms & Logs.
- Investigate customer complaints and rejections, providing feedback to the Quality Manager and leadership team.
- Monitor and maintain workflow within the inspection department, assisting inspectors with resolving issues and verifying results.
- Initiate and conduct training efforts within the inspection department, focusing on inspection best practices.
- Attend production meetings and MRB meetings as a representative of the quality/inspection department.
- Report on the performance of the quality system to the Quality Manager for review and improvement.
- Set a personal example for employees, demonstrating positive work habits, communication, and collaboration efforts.
- Proactively engage with employees to promote quality standards through awareness, communication, and training.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, gauging, inspection, and GD&T.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.
- Experience with programmable CMMs, CMM software (PC-DMIS), and inspection tools/hard gauging tools.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and interact with various individuals.
- ASQ Certification or interest in obtaining certification.
- Computer software experience, including Windows, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands for this position are normal for an office environment, requiring regular sitting, standing, walking, and talking, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
