HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS
Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS
- Completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions while maintaining positive employee relations and working to solve any employee issues that surface
- Assists with employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
- Assists with payroll processing in UKG / back-up payroll processor.
- Acts as translator for employee meetings and any necessary documents
- Conducts new employee orientation
- Assists with administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Makes sure all employee documents are scanned correctly into employees file in HRIS
- Educates employees on and enforces company policies.
- Assists with employee engagement activities.
- Travels to other plants to assist with open enrollment and provide translation support
- Other related duties & responsibilities as assigned.
