What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager - Legal Technology position at Qualitas Consulting Group?
As a Manager at Qualitas Consulting Group, you will independently lead both functional and technical consulting projects as a subject matter expert in legal operations and technology. You’ll work closely with clients to identify their challenges and deliver scalable, impactful solutions.
This is a client-facing role with opportunities to contribute to business development, including RFP responses, proposals, and client relationship initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead client workshops, legal technology implementations, system selections, and business process improvement projects
• Serve as the functional lead and SME across key legal operations areas such as:
Contract lifecycle management (CLM)
E-billing
Matter management
Document management
Legal hold
• Define client problem statements and manage the full implementation lifecycle—from planning to post-deployment support
• Collaborate with Qualitas partners to share insights, mitigate risks, and drive successful outcomes
• Manage project constraints including scope, budget, resources, and timeline
• Mentor junior team members, support knowledge sharing, and contribute to the development of best practices
• Support business development activities such as lead qualification, proposal development, and client pitches
Required Qualifications
• Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end legal technology implementations
Project initiation

Build and configuration

Deployment
Post-go-live support
• Strong documentation and planning skills (e.g., business requirements, project plans)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver independently

• Interest in expanding business development skills
Travel up to 15% would be required
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certification
• Experience designing or implementing legal enterprise software such as:
CLM systems
E-billing platforms
Matter or document management tools
Legal hold solutions
• Background in legal operations, legal tech, or legal management consulting
• Familiarity with tools like Agiloft, Conga, or Onit (certifications a plus)
• Ability to expand existing client relationships and build new ones
