Qualitas is looking for an experienced and excited Dental Office Coordinator to join the team of our oral surgery practice in Johnston, RI. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated candidate that can help maintain a smooth-running office while offering the best patient care possible.
The Dental Office Coordinator plays a vital role in the efficient operation of the practice, handling a variety of administrative and customer service duties. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
· Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
· Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records of patient visits.
· Verify patient insurance information and process claims.
· Work with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues.
· Answer phone calls, emails, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
· Maintain and update patient files in compliance with privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
· Handle billing, collections, and payment processing.
· Assist with inventory management, including ordering office and dental supplies.
· Coordinate with dental providers, staff, and patients to ensure a smooth flow of daily operations.
· Ensure the office environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
· Manage office correspondence, including appointment reminders and patient follow-up communications.
· Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of dental office management experience. Experience in patient scheduling, billing, and insurance is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional dental or healthcare certifications are a plus.
