We are looking for a Test Scientist to join our growing team in Hercules, CA United States!

As a Test Scientist within our Global Systems Engineering Organization, you ll be right at the forefront of client's Clinical Diagnostics R&D Group heavily involved in System Design Integration/Verification of new clinical diagnostics products on clinical immunology platforms. Reporting to the Verification & Validation Lead, your key activities will include test method development/validation, test execution, result analysis and reporting. You will leverage your knowledge of scientific and engineering principles, chemistry and immunology applications, and implement systems engineering practices (requirements, architecture) on new product development projects. With a successful track record for product development, you will produce technical data to evaluate design quality throughout the entire product development lifecycle. Your technical curiosity and analytical skills will be essential to build effective relationships with technical design subject matter experts across multidisciplinary engineering & scientific teams. You will influence New Product Development to maintain the focus on delivering safe, effective, and compliant product design to our customers. You'll also collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and scientists, providing your technical knowledge and insights to ensure that the product architecture and design conform to the highest levels of quality, reliability, usability, and functionality requirements.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundation knowledge and experience with Integration/Verification testing is a must.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in related field of Biomedical or system testing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Must have knowledge and experience in Biosafety Practices and Procedures.
• Must have experience handling biohazardous materials and/or human blood samples.
• Strong experience in operating and troubleshooting medical devices under development.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex scientific issues.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and regulated environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results for medical diagnostic device development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the medical device industry, particularly in the development of diagnostic healthcare technologies.
• Familiarity with product development life cycle processes.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Execute comprehensive test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality and performance of medical diagnostic devices.
• Execute experimental protocols with guidance from senior team members.
• Assist in data analysis and documentation of the experimental results using data analysis tools.
• Conduct system testing and chemistry specific related testing.
• Collaborate closely with system engineers, scientists, and software developers to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Document and report anomalies, and test results clearly and concisely, adhering to regulatory guidelines and audit requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, and quality assurance processes throughout the product development life cycle.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in medical devices.
• Should be flexible to working hours, as needed.

• A Competitive pay, the salary range for the role is $70,000 - $80,000.
