Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Development team at Qualitrol. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Leader, the Quality Engineer will ensure that products are designed for manufacturability and that critical-to-quality (CTQ) specifications are identified and met. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of product (hardware and software) quality and reliability.

Here’s Where You’ll Demonstrate Your Proficiency
- Design for Manufacturability: Ensure that product designs are optimized for manufacturability and meet all CTQ specifications.
- Quality Test Design: Design and develop all production quality tests to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Test Fixture Development: Oversee the development of new product test fixtures and reliability tests.
- FMEAs: Own and manage Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) to identify and mitigate potential risks in the manufacturing process.
- Long-Term Quality Tests: Develop and implement long-term quality tests to ensure ongoing product reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Leader, R&D, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Lean Six Sigma: Design for Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable to ensure process efficiency and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology).
- Proven experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, FMEAs, and reliability testing.
- Experience designing and developing production quality tests and test fixtures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in transitioning product designs from development to mass production.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma design.
