We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Food Safety and Technical Services to lead our team in driving scientific advancements in food quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating best practices and quality assurance and plant troubleshooting, with deep expertise in microbiological quality control, food safety, and aseptic sampling methodologies.
This individual will provide expert consultation, training, and industry engagement in support of our growing customer base, serving as a subject matter expert both internally and in the liquid food and beverage industry. They will also possess excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to develop technical content for diverse audiences.
This position is based in Oakdale, MN, and requires up to 25% travel for customer consultations, training sessions, and industry events.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.
- Master's degree or PhD in food science or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 10 years of industry experience in food and/or dairy processing.
- Deep expertise in microbiological quality control, food safety, and aseptic sampling methodologies.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop technical content for diverse audiences.
