Job Summary
Quality Appliance of Faribault is looking to expand its service and installation departments!
We are looking to hire someone who has a strong mechanical background, and is mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn. In this position, you would be in a flexible role that shifts between servicing appliances, as well as installing them, depending on where the schedule most demands your skills.
This position is well suited to a person who can be adaptable to their environment, as every day will require different responsibilities, and it is very rewarding for someone who likes to keep busy as well as problem solve.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in the customer's home
- Provide cost estimates for repairs, and collect payment from customers for work performed or appliances delivered
- Deliver, install and test run appliances in customer homes
- Follow route and be timely to scheduled appointments
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Inspect/Repair/Recondition appliances for "Used Appliance" sales
- Continuing education in service field though offered training courses.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean record
- Must have mechanical background or strong mechanical inclination
- Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
- The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 150 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
