For a rapidly growing outpatient Mental Health facility, Quality Behavioral Health is looking to fill an open position in our newest program to help the youth in our community struggling and in crisis. We will be hiring one more Youth Peer Crisis Responders to serve our community youth in crisis, meeting them where they are and guiding them to the help they need.
In order to become a Certified Peer Counselor, applicants must have personal lived experience, preferably as a youth, and be willing to share their personal experience with others in efforts to connect and help guide potential clients to the proper services. Lived experience can be anything from receiving services for Mental Health, Substance Use, interaction with Child Welfare, Developmental Disabilities and/or Juvenile Justice Systems. Applicants must use their knowledge to empower, educate and support youth experiencing similar challenges. Applicants must act as a role model and be comfortable sharing their story in a professional manner.
Applicants must be able to complete clinical and billing documentation, attend multi-disciplinary staffing and supervision meetings, implement supervisory directives and other instructions, and work cooperatively with all agency staff to ensure clients receive appropriate care. In addition, all applicants must maintain a non-judgmental attitude throughout the process, with the client and other Agency partners.
Applicants must be eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration and obtain Peer Counselor Certification.
