I.T. Administrative Assistant Job Description
Immediate supervisor : Senior Director, I.T. and Operations
Description of Duties
- Take calls and provide front-line support for the I.T. department.
- Manage and complete the input of initial information into the helpdesk and work with end users to identify and troubleshoot basic I.T. issues such as user changes, password resets, etc.
- Check all incoming Helpdesk calls for current account status and place collection calls to I.T. customers with overdue balances.
- Manage ticketing systems by tracking, prioritizing, and following up on IT service requests.
- Maintain records in and produce reports from company software packages.
- Respond to customers requesting follow-up information on tickets and projects.
- Maintain a current inventory of all I.T. equipment.
- Assist in researching and ordering technology equipment and services.
- Prepare paperwork for the purchasing of I.T. equipment, software and services.
- Manage records of contracts for internet, telecom, and vendor-provided services.
- Assist with preparation of internal and customer I.T. presentations.
- When necessary, assist with the remote and onsite installation of office equipment drivers.
- Assist in other I.T. endeavors and projects.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, and asset inventory.
- Tracking the IT personnel
- Assisting with answering our phones for Copier Supplies and Service calls
