Behavioral Residential Clinician: Quality Care Access provides personalized 24/7 residential and in-home care and support to meet the unique needs of adults challenged with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer the following MaineCare Waiver services: Section 20 and 21.
Location: South Portland, ME
Salary: $55-$70/hr. based on experience.
Position Summary: Quality Care Access is seeking a dedicated part-time Behavioral Residential Clinician to ensure the highest standards of service and care delivery. The Clinician plans, coordinates, and oversees the delivery of care through a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, therapists, and frontline workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical assessment and care coordination:
- Conduct clinical and functional assessments as basis for care planning, including identifying root causes of challenging behaviors.
- Design, implement, and monitor interprofessional collaborative care, support, and behavior management plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, including families/guardians to evaluate and modify plans to ensure effectiveness.
Interprofessional supervision and training:
- Determine appropriate clinicians to provide needed quality care.
- Play crucial role in team assigned to develop, implement, and evaluate a master continuous training plan.
- Ensure optimal and safe care delivery through close monitoring and field formative supervision.
- Instruct Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMAs) on addressing and monitoring care needs, resident safety, and documentation.
- Participate in employees' performance evaluations.
Documentation and Review:
- Ensure accurate and continuous data management through standardized clinical documentation.
- Audit staff progress notes in Therap to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Utilize Evergreen for reportable events.
- Review and organize quarterly formative reviews of care delivery.
- Organize and conduct summative annual evaluations of care delivery.
Supervision: The Clinician will be supervised by the Director of Healthcare & Quality Assurance.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Social and Behavioral Sciences, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited university with at least two years’ experience in the field, including knowledge of regulations for MaineCare Waiver services Section 20 and 21.
Licensing: Must hold one of the following State of Maine licenses:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Skills and Requirements:
- Must meet initial and ongoing educational requirements per the State of Maine.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
