What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA/Caregiver position at Quality Care Home Care Agency?
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living spaces
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings as needed
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health status
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and resident rights is a plus
- Knowledge of home care or assisted living practices is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in providing care
