Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and families to determine music therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide music therapy sessions to patients and families, addressing medical, psychological, emotional, and social needs
- Maintain board certification and complete continuing music therapy education requirements
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy or Music Therapy
- Board Certification as a Music Therapist by the Certification Board for Music Therapy
- Completed internship of at least 900 hours
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
