Your role will also involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct music therapy assessments to identify patient needs and goals
- Develop and implement music therapy care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide music therapy sessions to patients and families, utilizing therapeutic music techniques to address medical, psychological, emotional, and social needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve desired outcomes
- Maintain board certification and stay up-to-date with continuing music therapy education requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy or Music Therapy
- Board Certification as a Music Therapist by the Certification Board for Music Therapy
- Completed internship of at least 900 hours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams
