Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of individuals in your care.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote inclusion.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed for clients requiring physical support.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, group home settings, or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and memory care needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or physical needs.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
