- Conduct Comprehensive Behavioral Assessments: Perform functional behavior assessments and analyses to identify the functions of challenging behaviors at a level of competency appropriate for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Develop and Implement Individualized Treatment Plans: Create, oversee, and ensure the execution of tailored behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment outcomes, utilizing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies.
- Supervision and Training: Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), practicum students, and other clinical staff, ensuring the effective implementation of client care plans while fostering professional growth.
- Team Leadership: Assist Clinical Director to lead and manage a team of behavior analysts and support staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment, setting team goals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services across all cases.
- Program Oversight: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ABA programs across multiple clients, ensuring fidelity of implementation and adherence to ethical and clinical standards. Collaborate with the ABA Clinical Director, CEO, Administrative, and HR Directors to shape the vision and direction of ABA services during department planning meetings.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Establish and refine data collection systems to monitor client progress, analyze trends to inform treatment decisions, and adjust interventions as necessary, while guiding staff in data-driven practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Music Therapy professionals, clients’ families, and other stakeholders, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.
- Maintain Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed session notes, progress reports, and other required documentation in compliance with organizational, regulatory, and BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) standards.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Assist the Clinical Director in conducting audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, state regulations, and BACB guidelines, and implementing improvements as needed.
- Professional Development: Facilitate team meetings, case consultations, and in-service training to enhance staff skills and maintain a culture of continuous learning.
- Client and Family Advocacy: Serve as a point of contact for families and caregivers, addressing concerns, providing updates on progress, and ensuring their involvement in the treatment process.
- Certification and Licensure: Possess a valid BCBA certification and licensure in Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of BCBA experience preferred, with demonstrated success in clinical supervision and team leadership; newly certified candidates with strong leadership potential may be considered.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of clinical staff, with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability: Willingness to work afternoons, at least three evenings Monday through Friday until 8:00 PM, and participate in a Saturday supervision rotation.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations in Shelby Township and Clinton Township and provide limited in-home supervision within Macomb County.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of ABA principles, BACB ethical guidelines, and state regulations, with the ability to train others in these areas.
- Preferred: Experience in program development, staff performance evaluations, or collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 sign-on bonus. The first $500 will be paid out on your 2nd paycheck, and the remaining $500 will be paid out on your 6th paycheck.
