What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position at QUALITY CASES & CONTAINERS?
Forklift (sit down and stand up) - Certification required
Advanced understanding of shipping/receiving/warehouse operations
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb and lift 50 lbs individually
Self motivation, hard work and reliability are very important
Responsibilities:
Inbound Freight:
Scheduling all inbound freight from our manufacturers. Price shop & compare
rates using at least 2 different freight companies
Outbound Shipping:
- Maintain and follow any and all Routing guides provided by customers.

- Determine “best way” shipping on all outbound orders

-FedEx
-Local Courier
- Communicate with customer when necessary for scheduling shipping
Receiving:
- Unload trucks
- Verify contents on purchase order, dispense to proper location, receive parts into
system (E2 software) in a timely manner
- Notify buyer or contact supplier of any discrepancies as well as marking BOL (bill
of lading) before the driver of freight company leaves
Inventory Control:
- Maintain a clean and controlled Warehouse
- Pull orders for off the shelf (standard cases)
- Pull cases for Production Dept daily use, Return overages/unused cases daily
- Repair warranty items on cases
Warehouse Supplies:
- Order general warehouse supplies
Shrink wrap/Tape/Razor knifes/blades/Recycle Bags
Recycle / Trash
- Monitor Recycle / Trash bins and call for pick up when needed.
Expectations:
The warehouse coordinator is expected to ship and receive in a timely cost effective manner. They will be expected to have a strong knowledge of the brands and types of goods purchased and sold by QCC. A clean and organized warehouse is expected to be kept at all times and show up for work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
