Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Phytogen Seed Company research program
- Assisting with the repair and maintenance of field equipment, limited operation of field equipment, organization of samples during harvest and/or processing, and limited driving of a company vehicle.
- Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest. Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, ginning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging.
- General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.
- The Technician's Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.
- Operation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or cotton picker, and stationary field equipment, such as a module builder.
- Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy or related field.
- Experience with planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest
- Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.
