Driver Requirements
We are seeking an experienced CDL A driver to join our team at Quality Custom Distribution. To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid driver's license, current DOT Medical certification card, and one year of recent active CDL A experience. You should also be able to effectively communicate with customers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors. Physical demands include standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing in and out of road tractors or switch tractors. You must be able to work all necessary schedules, including holidays and weekends, and safely operate equipment in extreme weather conditions.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include delivering products to predetermined store locations, maintaining accurate logs and records, and adhering to all commercial driving regulations and company policies. The driver will also be responsible for inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, planning routes, meeting delivery schedules, and documenting work/rest periods and miles spent driving. Additionally, drivers will need to input macros into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $34.95 for weekdays and $36.95 for weekends, with a 5th and 6th day hourly premium of $10.82. Drivers can expect to average 40 to 50 hours per week. We also offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
