Additionally, they will be required to monitor staffing levels and ensure that required work tasks can be achieved.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving concepts and techniques is essential, as well as relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures. Experience working in a labor contract and union environment is also preferred.

Job Description
This role involves supervising the day-to-day activities related to transportation and warehousing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Distribution Center KPIs and governmental regulations are met. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the day-to-day activities of warehouse operations, including daily work assignments, monitoring productivity, accuracy, and KPIs.
- Supervising the day-to-day activities of transportation operations to ensure established standards are met or exceeded.
- Providing training to assigned staff to ensure compliance with established standards for quality, sanitation, security, and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
- DOT training with appropriate agencies.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in warehouse and transportation operations, including inventory and shipping and receiving.
