Position Summary:
- Pulls, stages, loads and delivers orders to Quality Dairy stores and outside customers. Follows Quality Dairy Company policies and procedures. Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices
Job Duties:
- Follows the Quality Dairy Company Code of Excellence
- Delivers orders to store locations and outside customers
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Completes drivers daily route log
- Verifies delivery accuracy
- Keeps vehicles clean, neat and orderly
- Keeps fuel tank and other fluids at acceptable levels
- Submits proper records for fuel purchases
- Communicates maintenance/preventative maintenance needs to truck garage and management
- Performs minor routine maintenance on trucks
- Reports customer facility damage, accidents and/or vehicle damage to Production Supervisor or Production Manager immediately
- Reports driving record violations, both on and off the job to Production Supervisor or Production Manager within 24 hours
- Picks up Bakery bins from stores and outside customers
- Reports damaged Bakery bins to maintenance department
- Picks up damaged and outdated merchandise from stores and outside customers
- Recommends methods for improvement in equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Assures departmental records are complete, accurate and legible
- Delivers and returns all inter-company mail bags to appropriate locations
- Represents company in a professional manner

Production Supervisor, Production Crew Leader, Production Manager, Sanitation Supervisor
- Communicate problems, suggestions and questions

- Notify if delivery will be late

- Communicates any problems, issues regarding the delivery of goods

- Communicates any problems and/or issues regarding picking of orders
Maintenance
- Notify of any equipment issues
Security
- Communicate damages, accidents, and major incidents
Essential Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands:
- Successfully complete physicals and drug testing as required by Department of Transportation and Company policy
- Ability to maneuver truck in traffic and back up truck to various unloading areas designated by customer
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in traffic patterns and delivering procedures
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift, and pull repetitively
- Ability to withstand temperature and noise extremes
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectations
- Ability to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment related to the job
- Ability to use math skills for preparing reports
- Ability to understand, follow and comply with safety procedures
- Exposure to odor and diesel fumes from truck
- Strong commitment towards tasks completion
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Chauffeurs license and satisfactory driving record
- Previous delivery experience, preferred
- Basis computer knowledge
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational skills
