We are seeking a proactive and innovative Assistant Controller to join our growing team. This newly created position is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to contribute fresh ideas to streamline processes and enhance financial operations. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing efficient workflows, and supporting the company’s strategic goals.
This is an in-office position and does not offer a hybrid or remote work option.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the daytoday accounting operations,
including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to create budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support decisionmaking.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Support yearend audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or participate in special projects, such as system upgrades or process automation initiatives.
- Mentor and train accounting staff to build a highperforming and adaptable team.
- Bring innovative solutions and a forwardthinking approach
to continuously enhance the accounting function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
(CPA certification preferred but not required).
- 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fastpaced environment or a rapidly growing company.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
(experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and a demonstrated ability to
implement process improvements.
