What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Press Brake Operator / Swing Shift position at Quality Electrical Systems?
We are looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The main job duties will be setting up metal sheets, plates, strips, or bars, also programming, layout marks, following charts and operating turret punch press machines to fabricate metal parts and components with precision and efficiency.
Shift: 3:30 pm to 2:00 pm Monday - Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Press Brake machines to punch and form sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling and load programs into the machine.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the punching process and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project
deadlines.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes with proven experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and quality control practices.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple
tasks efficiently.
