What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician position at Quality Electrical Systems?
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team in the production of Fabricated Electrical Houses (E-Houses) for industrial applications. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, and quality inspection of E-Houses, working closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure our products meet stringent standards for durability, safety, and efficiency. This role requires technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fabricate structural components of EHouses according to technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Install and wire electrical equipment such as switchgear,
transformers, control panels, and related components within the E-House structure.
- Perform quality control inspections, testing, and troubleshooting
to ensure all assemblies comply with safety and industry standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and layout diagrams to ensure accurate placement and connection of all components.
- Operate machinery and tools such as saws, drills, and welders for panel and frame fabrication.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality control teams to
ensure production accuracy and address any technical or structural issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards.
- Complete accurate production documentation, including recording material usage, time tracking, and quality checklists.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production
processes and reduce waste.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or
technical certification in electrical technology, industrial manufacturing, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly of electrical houses, modular structures, or industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency with electrical systems and mechanical components used in industrial applications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards, including OSHA and
electrical safety practices.
