What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Quality Electrical Systems?
The Material Handler will be responsible for pulling supplies and parts from the warehouse to support the production team, engineering, and other departments as needed. Job duties will include gathering supplies for assembly workers and seeing that the proper materials are prepared and readily available on the production floor. Will also record the pulled material by verifying part numbers and supplies that are being delivered to multiple departments to ensure inventory accuracy. Must have excellent organizational skills and understand material flow/handling, production part retrieval, raw materials, and documentation. This position requires lift upwards of 50 lbs, being on feet for an 8-hour shift, bending, standing, color perception, maintain a clean working environment, and read and write in English. At least three months of previous warehouse experience is preferred.
Shift: 8 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma
- Material Handling work experience.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and the ability to apply it in a work situation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets,
word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
